Mission Statement
As a Catholic and Jesuit college preparatory school, Scranton Prep’s mission is to help families form young people who are well prepared for college and who will live lives that give greater glory to God. Accordingly, we seek to form graduates who are intellectually competent, open to growth, religious, loving and committed to doing justice. In doing so, we seek to prepare our students for college, for life, and for eternity.
Diversity Statement
St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, teaches us to seek God in all things. Jesuit schools believe that God can be powerfully encountered through an educational experience that includes and explores the great diversity that marks Creation in general and humanity in particular. Accordingly, Scranton Prep strives to form a school community in which differences in race, ethnicity, culture, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, and learning style are experienced, accepted, and understood.

Grad at Grad

“Grad at Grad” is a unique term developed by the Jesuits in 1980 to represent the five key characteristics of a Graduate at Graduation from a Jesuit high school. All Jesuit high schools instill the Grad at Grad characteristics as pillars to the Jesuit mission. There are five characteristics shared by all Jesuit High Schools; Open to Growth, Religious, Intellectually Competent, Loving and Committed to Justice.
